From Hazard ID to Disaster Recovery: Coastal Zone Stakeholders Equip Themselves for Climate Challenges
The Project Management Team of the eccadp project, along with the project consultant, successfully completed a crucial and impactful step in the capacity-building program within the project's second component, the Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan. This step was the training course Developing Disaster Management Skills in the Coastal Zone , held in Cairo on April 16-17, 2024. The course was attended by over 28 stakeholders from various agencies, ministries, and executive bodies responsible for coastal zone management. The training content was primarily focused on proactive preparedness to address climate change risks in coastal areas. It covered a range of essential concepts, including: Hazard Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Mitigation, Emergency Preparedness, Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery
